When designing for Horizon quartz countertops and other surfaces, we grind quartz ore and combine it with a small amount of polymer resin for bonding and pigment. The proportion of natural quartz minerals extracted from the Earth’s crust is up to 93%.

Horizon Quartz Stone Manufacturing Process

Horizon sources high-quality quartz sand that meets our stringent incoming material inspection standards. After a strictly monitored inspection process, the raw material is mixed with natural mineral pigments and polymer resins, and poured into the mold to form a slab with a size of 3200*1600 mm. The slab is pressed, cured in a kiln, heated to 90 °C for 45 minutes, and measured, calibrated, and polished to perfection.

We record every slab of quartz stone in the warehouse, including length and width dimensions, thickness, color data, and more.

Quartz Stone With Precautions

Although Horizon quartz stone is an ideal material for the surface of your home, there are some situations where it needs attention.

• Avoid contact with strong corrosive chemicals, such as strong acids or alkalis.
• Do not place the pot above 400 °C directly on the counter. You should use a tripod or a heat pad.. Although Horizon quartz stone is structurally more heat-resistant than other stones, drastic temperature changes can damage its surface and edges.
• Some customers choose to install the stone outdoors; However, we do not recommend using quartz stone outdoors, because long-term ultraviolet radiation will affect the color of its surface.
