Quartz Stone Slabs Quality Inspection Standard

1. Purpose:

This standard is formulated in order to standardize the inspection of incoming materials, provide the inspection basis for incoming materials, and ensure the quality of incoming materials from suppliers.

2. Scope Of Application:

2.1 This standard is applicable to the quality determination of quartz stone slabs in the process of incoming material inspection by Horizon.

2.2 If the customer has special requirements, the Production Management Department shall judge it according to the standards.

3. Powers And Responsibilities:

3.1 IQC inspections shall be conducted according to this standard.

3.2 The Quality Department is responsible for the formulation, modification, and interpretation of the inspection standards.

4. Testing Tools:

Tape measure, caliper, gauge, testing platform, Mohs hardness tester, color sample plate, and related testing instruments.

5. Detection Method:

5.1 Material environmental protection and performance test:

5.1.1 When delivering each batch of products, the supplier shall provide the latest product test report made by the professional inspection company.

5.1.2 For the items that can be tested within the Company, each batch of delivery shall be sampled and tested before receiving the goods.5.1.3 The items that cannot be tested by the Company shall be sent to the official national inspection institution for testing as necessary.

5.2 Specifications Dimensions and tolerance values are actually measured.

5.3 Other items shall be visual.

6. Quality Requirements:

6.1 The specifications, purchase quantity, and specific delivery date of each batch of plates shall be subject to the order.

6.2 At the time of delivery, each board must be covered with protective film, separated by paper or plastic film between each board, the board can be packed with wooden board, wooden square or other suitable materials, and the whole package of slabs must be on a pallet (easy to use forklift to remove and avoid surface damage after multiple unloading); There is a plastic sheet covering the plate to prevent rain; Each package should be marked with: production factory name, production date or batch number, product mark, variety, specification, also quantity, etc.

6.3 The polished surface of the slab is strictly forbidden to be exposed to sunlight; The outermost slab in each package faces outwards.

6.4 The ambient temperature of the storage sheet shall not exceed 50 °C, and the packaging weight of each sheet shall not exceed 3000 kg.

6.5 The environmental protection standard of the plate shall comply with the technical indicators of GB 6566-2001 Class A decoration materials.

6.6 The supplier shall provide the latest product test report made by the official national inspection authority for the record of the Demander.

6.7 Slab appearance quality requirements: clean surface, no obvious stains; Uniform color; Flat plate edge, missing edge drop Angle; The pattern is clear, the pattern is obvious: the surface is smooth and flat, no ripples, uneven, square material marks, scratches, cracks, bubbles, impurities; Also No damage, no collapse, no porosity; Splicing without a gap.

6.8 The bottom of the slab must be polished, smooth, with no waves, cracks, or pores.

6.9 The same batch of slabs is placed under normal light (a 60-watt fluorescent lamp), and there is no obvious visual difference at a distance of 500–750 mm, and the surface particles are evenly distributed.

6.10 No more than 3 impurities of diameter ≥1 mm are allowed on the surface of the particle plate; No more than 5 impurities with a diameter ≥ 0.5mm are allowed on the surface of the solid swatch.

6.11 Place the stainless steel cup with boiling water on the table for 30 minutes or place the end of a burning cigarette on the surface of the quartz stone, and the surface shall not produce discoloration.

6.12 Stain resistance of the plate: use soy sauce, vinegar, or coffee drops on the quartz stone, and 24 hours later, with dishwashing liquid water to wipe, the surface shall not produce discoloration.

6.13 Sheet length tolerance: ±2mm, width tolerance: 0~+2mm; Thickness tolerance: ±0.5mm; Diagonal deviation: ≤10mm; roughness: ≤ 5% of thickness; Sheet edge unstraightness: ≤1.5mm/m.

6.14 Sheet Mohs hardness ≥7°, density: 2.37 ~ 2.5 × 103 kg/m3, other mechanical properties refer to JC 908-2002 “Solid surface material”.

6.15 The surface color and treatment effect of the slabs shall be jointly confirmed by both parties, and the sample shall be sealed as the basis for future inspection.

6.16 All technical requirements of such materials are in accordance with the relevant provisions of HJ/T 432-2008, “Technical Requirements for Environmental Labeling Products in Kitchen Cabinets.”.
